NOBODY CARES! Work Harder.
Boom, You are free!
It sounds a little brutal, doesn’t it? “Nobody cares, work harder.” But if you peel it back, there’s a powerful truth in that statement, one that can completely change the way you approach your training.
We live in a world where it’s easy to measure ourselves by the reactions of others. Strava kudos, Instagram likes, comments from training partners, these can all feel like little validations that the work we’re doing is “worth it.” The problem is, that kind of validation never lasts. You can’t control how other people react, and you’ll drive yourself crazy trying.

What you can control is the work you put in.
The choices you make when the alarm goes off.
The effort you bring to every interval.
The consistency you stack day after day.
That’s where pride comes from, not in the applause, but in the quiet moments when you know you’ve given your best effort.
Nobody else cares as much about your goals as you do. And that’s actually freeing. Because it means you don’t have to train for anyone else’s approval. You only need to show up for yourself.
So stop worrying about how it looks. Stop overthinking what others think. Put your energy where it matters: doing the work.
Work harder. For your own growth. For your own pride. For your own finish line.
*Time Trial Tuesday posts are intended to be short primer posts to get you thinking, but they are also challenges for myself to see how quickly and simply I can get the topic across to all of you.
